Aranea Fleuret

The Humble Beginnings

Aranea has no memories before she was 12 when she woke up next to an entrance to Ul'dah on a hot summer day. She was spotted by a passing trader who felt pity on the timid and shy Au' Ra and took her in to be a part of his family. The trader and his wife had no children of their own and showered Aranea with love and care. She showed great promise with numbers and by the time she was 16 was managing all the books for her foster father's trading house.

The Heiress

With her skills in business and mathematics, she rose through the ranks of the trading house quickly. When she turned 20, it was all but apparent that she would take over the trading house; however, her father wanted Aranea to travel the various states and gain more experience in dealing with varied and diverse people. Bound by loyalty to her adopted family, Aranea now travels around to offer her expertise to numerous people, from the engineers at Garlond Ironworks to the traders in Kugane.
